Northampton Ceilidh Band

Welcome to the site of Northampton ceilidh outfit, Stumpy Oak!

We are very lively, energetic bunch of Northampton ceilidh and barn dance musicians who perform nationwide.

The band is available for all types of event including balls, freshers parties, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, pubs and fundraisers. Our repertoire draws upon a rich tradition of folk music; a wide selection of Scottish, Irish, English and Celtic folk tunes is used to get your feet stamping from the start! Top Performers

Stumpy Oak’s team of talented musicians have appeared at leading folk festivals up and down the country. Two members reached the final of the BBC Young Folk Awards, whilst another band member won the St Albans New Roots competition for young performers. A number of our members have been featured on either BBC Radio 2 or Radio 3 and have CD releases.
