Sudbury Barn Dance Band

Welcome to the online home of Sudbury barn dance band, Stumpy Oak!

We are a group of barn dance and ceilidh musicians with many years of experience, and perform all over Suffolk, Essex and the rest of glorious East Anglia!

We play for all types of event including weddings, parties, festivals, fundraisers and even wakes. Our musical repertoire draws upon a rich heritage of traditional folk music from the British Isles and beyond. A selection of English, Irish, Scottish and Celtic tunes are sure to get your feet tapping without delay! Our Talented Performers

Our professional musicians regularly appear at leading folk festivals throughout the country. Two band members have reached the final of the BBC Young Folk Awards, whilst another won the St Albans New Roots award for young performers. A number of our musicians have CD releases and have been featured on national radio stations.
