Suffolk Barn Dance Band

Greetings from Suffolk barn dance band, Stumpy Oak!

We’re a lively group of Suffolk barn dance / ceilidh musicians with many years of experience, performing all over the county and neighbouring East Anglian counties of Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire.

The band performs for a variety of events including weddings, parties, festivals, pub gigs and fundraisers. Our repertoire draws upon a rich collection of folk music from the British Isles. A wide selection of English, Irish, Scottish and Celtic traditional tunes are used to get your feet tapping without delay! Professional Musicians

Our group of talented musicians have appeared at leading folk festivals up and down the country. Two members have reached the final of the BBC Young Folk Awards, and another band member won the New Roots competition in St Albans. Our performers have album releases and have been featured on either BBC Radio 2 or Radio 3.
